Pretty awesome. Programmed to start when we’re asleep. Quiet enough to not wake us (or the dogs) up and kitchen is spotless in morning. Gets rid of all the dog hair and floors look great. Really easy to set up too.

I bought a cheap lidl robotic vacuum and I was very impressed. But it couldn’t be timed and was a bit clunky and no wifi connection.

I thought this one would be better, but it constantly got stuck in two carpeted rooms whereas the lidl one did not! It constantly couldn’t find the base station when the cycle was finished.

I returned it as it couldn’t do what the cheaper one could do in the basic functionality.

Does not pick up all dirt

Well this is the 3rd Honiture Robot vac I have bought, this one purchased for my elderly parents. So I have one of these the G20 Pro and also a G20 the model before this one. As I’m sure you have already guessed I have been very happy with the performance of these machines.
My parents are also overwhelmed at how the G20Pro has made life that bit easier for them and they have quickly become very attached to it, seeing it as their little helper. I think the fact that it is quite light to handle compared to the upright they own and also very easy to maintain. These are some of the reasons I am also very happy that I invested in them. My dad handles the use and maintenance of the robot vac and for once was very easy to show and explain how to use the vac with the HonySmart app downloaded from the Playstore. It is fairly easy to set up and connect to your network, depending on your router I suppose, these operate on the 2.4ghz signal and most routers are dual band now. I have a TalkTalk Hub and had to disable the 5GHZ signal in the hub menu which was easy to do to get it to connect, then just switched it back on and had no problem once the setup was complete. Think there may be a fault with my router to be honest and am looking to upgrade to something else, so this might just be an issue I have had and no reflection on the robot vac itself.
You can control the machines by a remote control with included batteries, the app, or with voice activation ie Alexa. Personally I prefer to use the app as it displays all the various settings, displays mapping whilst in use and shows the lifespan of all the easily replaced parts. For example the main brush, side brushes and Hepa filter. Both machines are outstanding, very efficient at cleaning and it never ceases to amaze me how much they actually pick up and you can really tell when the carpets have been cleaned after the robot vac has completed it’s task. The main difference between the G20Pro and G20 is the suction power which you can adjust in the app by the way, on full power the G20Pro has a suction rating of 4500pa gives it that extra punch when on the full setting which is noticeable. Obviously it uses more power when on the highest setting but still cleans really well and lasts longer if you reduce the power down a notch.
I love the mopping function too and use it regularly to clean my kitchen floor and it does a great job. I would recommend using this cleaning solution designed for robot vacs-https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08WX8M873?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details.
It’s a German manufacturer and it will last a long time as you only need to put a very small amount in the tank. The tank holds 250ml of fluid and I calculated that it would be best to put just 2.5ml in, I use a medicine syringe. Then I also find that using the sweep and mop function separately works better for me, so set it to sweep first and then change the setting to just mop. When you connect the mop it will automatically change to sweep/mop combined, so you will have to change that yourself in the app. I also allow it to run the mop function twice to obtain near perfect results on my floor and one other thing is that on the mop only function it hardly uses any power at all.
Like all robot vacs it knows when to return to it’s charging base and so long as it’s not too far away and no obstacles it always amazes me how it finds it’s way and settles back on to recharge. The robot vac announces it’s functions in a loud and clear voice and you can adjust the volume of this too.
I suppose the other main thing to mention is the price which I think has always been very competitive and the customer service from Honiture, in my opinion is outstanding. I have dealt with companies recently that have definitely failed in that respect, to me the customer service is as important as the sale.
So all in all I would describe myself as a very happy customer and have a feeling that this won’t be my last purchase from this brand.

I did not have super high hopes for this, but at the price was prepared to give it a go.

There are models out there that cost 4-5 times as much, and I thought we’d try out the principle first.

We get a lot of little sand and soil particles from the dog’s paws on the kitchen floor, even if we wash their feet after a walk… I guess they pick up a bit more in the walk from the hose to the house. This thing gets it all collected, better than the power head on the sebo vacuum cleaner we have, and certainly much quieter.

Even my wife, who is a tech skeptic is convinced. The little brush thingies at the front corners really do let it clean up to the edge of everything. They’re sort of like crab’s claws that pull the food to it’s mouth. There is a brush underneath, and of course a bit of suction. it is able to climb up over thresholds of around 1.5cm pretty easily… even thought it looks awkward.

At the end of each clean you can open up the lid, and lift out the little dust container, which always seems to have a surprisingly large amount of dust; possibly from going under cupboards
If it drives over a small puddle, then it will gum itself up, and all the dust gets sticky. cleaning it out is easy. Even the hepa filter can be washed. We’ve not tried the mopping feature.

We’ve not set a regular timer so as not to disturb the dogs at night. They are very chill about the unit if you’re in the kitchen with them, but can end up barking if they’re alone with it.

It comes with a little remote, which worked OK IIRC at first, but after I set up the app the remote stopped working. The app is responsive, draws a little map of where the bot has explored, and shows battery remaining.

The kitchen seems cleaner as a result of a) it’s relatively easy to to start it off, even if you have to ensure no obstacles (e.g. shoes) are left lying around. Even though it takes longer than vacuuming manually, it’s quieter and our effort is minimal b) as mentioned before, it seems to clean up sand crumbs better than our cylinder vac.

I’m happy with this. And I/we don’t feel tempted to go and get a more expensive model.

  6. Mrs. C. Wolfe

Having been looking at robotic vacuum cleaners for some time, and despairing at the prices of them, I was dubious that this device would perform. However, nothing ventured, nothing gained, we could always return it. We live in a dormer bungalow, with all of the rooms we use on one level; the upper floor being reserved for guests. We have two dogs, one of whom sheds constantly, and we had to vacuum at least twice per day, using a handheld.
    Enter this amazing little device.
Day 1: We tried her out in the dining room (hard floor). She navigated around the dining table, six chairs and assorted furniture with ease. We blocked access to the living room using a dog gate but she didn’t recognise it as a solid object and proceeded to barge at it until she had knocked it down.
Day 2: Hallway and dressing room (carpet). We set her up to clean whilst we were out. Upon our return we found a beautiful stripe pattern in the carpet, worthy of Wimbledon. She hadn’t got any further however as she had climbed on top of the dogs’ water bowl and got stuck, looking like a stranded turtle.
Yes, she is a female; my husband says only a female would clean so thoroughly, and she now has a name; Viv.
Viv now has the run of the lower floor of the house, navigating with ease from room to room. She leaves a lovely sheen on the hard floors and cleans the carpets and rugs, even fluffy ones, meticulously.
Super easy to use, empty, clean and maintain. My husband, who has long had an aversion to household cleaning appliances, now has a new love. We use the remote control rather than the app. The only thing we have to remember is to pick everything up off the floor before we start her off.
    Superb value for money.
