You get what you pay for and this Bosch gets 5 stars brilliant dishwasher.

The dishwasher itself- now installed- is great. I’d probably give it 5 stars if I was only reviewing it alone. Also to note that Amazon had this machine at £50 cheaper than anywhere else I could find it.
If you read the installation service requirements it states “… service can only be performed if the water isolation valve and the installation area are accessible and compliant with an available power outlet, cold water supply and waste hose outlet within 1m (no plumbing or electrical connection modifications are included (hard wired electrical connection is not supported).”
I thought I fulfilled these requirements. The old dishwasher sat next to a washing machine on its left and beyond that a butler sink with the electrical and plumbing connections all stand. I was careful to check the distance the hose and electrical lead would have to travel which was easily within one metre; about 75cm in fact. The installation guys turned up there was a lot of head shaking and sharp intakes of breath. “Oh no… can’t do that… your hoses are not long enough- you’ll need a kitchen fitter to do that…” and “No …. can’t do that… we’d have to move your washing machine…”
Really???
I accepted what they were saying and suggested I wanted to cancel the whole order and I’d go to John Lewis who I’m sure from previous experience would install the machine no problem. They refused that saying as they’d now unpacked the machine and brought it into the house they couldn’t cancel the order and I’d need to talk to Amazon about a return separately.
They were polite and organised a refund on the installation costs there and then. However I was left with a dishwasher sitting in the middle of my kitchen. Luckily a friend of mine recommended a local plumbing company who came round and installed the new machine and took the old one away no problem. And they only charged slightly more than the Amazon service would have cost.
So- Amazon- can I suggest you clarify your installation service requirements to make it clear your install crews will only do the most straightforward simple job; that is, all the connections need to be directly behind the dishwasher space and the installation will rigidly adhere to no more than simply pulling out the old dishwasher- connecting the new dishwasher and pushing it in.
So well done Amazon for selling a good product at the most competitive price. However your installation service is not fit for purpose.

It’s definitely a disaster. Don’t order it. I ordered one washing machine and one dishwasher. This is the situation after installation. I contacted Amazon’s support team. They say we can return the machine if we want. What happens if you return the machine? I have a pool in my house right now.

The dishwasher is well-made and has all the necessary programs. The way it projects information onto the floor is a neat idea. It integrates into the excellent Home Connect app, which provides additional functionality

There isn’t much choice around integrated 45 cm dishwashers, in my opinion, this is one of the best around. There are equivalent models from other group companies (Siemens and Neff) they’re all built on the same base machine and just have slight differences in appearance and control.
