I have different types of flooring throughout house and this hoover works well on all. Easy to manoeuvre and the long lead means I don’t have to keep unplugging to go from room to room. The lift out makes it so much easier to do the stairs with. Only downfall is there is not enough slots on the hoover to put all the attachments on

I had a Shark corded upright anti hair wrap but it was becoming increasingly frustrating as my long haired German Shepherd’s fur was getting trapped in the roller, even though it’s not supposed to. I decided to switch to this model of VAX vacuum cleaner, I own the carpet washer and spot wash from VAX. It’s brilliant the roller brush is wider/thicker than the Shark so the fur doesn’t get wrapped around it. Suction is great. The down side is the dust bin is slightly smaller than Shark but the hose is longer and more stretchy than the Shark. The weight is about the same..Overall I’m definitely a VAX convert

This hoover is the best yet , I have 3 cats and the fur that comes off them , I have to hoover daily , this hoover is the nuts for the length of wire and hose to reach places , it also light to medium weight and the suction is outstanding along with all the tools that’s needed for different jobs around the home , I give this top marks and for the price 😍

Absolutely excellent product. I have two dogs and it gets up the hair with no issues at all. I love the way it breaks down to a more portable hoover for the stairs. The extra tools are well thought out too. I’ve had more expensive that don’t come anywhere near as good as this one.

I got this on offer for £139.
We have 2 short haired dogs in our household and they do shed a fair bit of fur hence we went with the pet model.
The vacuum was very intuitive to put together out of the box. Everythign feels reasonably sturdy. There is a clip that is included to hold on to the main hose and keep it attached to the handle – I can see that getting broken relatively easily as it feels like a kind of brittle plastic – a minor gripe. But the main handle of this unit is metal so that feels nicely robust.
Controls are simple, it just has an on / off button and another to start / stop the spinning brush.
One other minor gripe, the power cable goes in low down on the right hand side of the unit and it seesm to get in the way a lot so you always have to remember to pull it out of the way.
The greatest feature of this vacuum is the lift away fucntion. It makes it really eays to clean the stairs. Our old vacuum had the motor in the handle. So when you break it down to tackle the stairs your having to move that whole unit around. With this one, you’re only moving the attachment at the end of the suction hose and you just have the lift away part with th motor and dust collector on the next stair. Way easier to deal with.
It’s very easy to empty the dust collection box and the filters are obvious and easy to replace.
This vacuum has dealt with everything thrown at it so far. The suction power if hugely impressive. We have a couple of runners and rugs and it will literally suck them into the brush unless you open the window on the handle to reduce the suction power. Our old Shark stick type vacuum never grabbed hold of the rugs like this. In fact, the vax on it’s minimum feels more powerful as the outgoing Shark when it was on its maximum
On maximum suction the brushes really give the carpet in the living room a good brush and it really lifts the pile back up. So I was immediately impressed from the very first clean. The carpets noticeable look like a vacuum has been over the as it, which I like. It just looks cleaner.
Hopefully the longevity is good and only time will tell on that but its performance is top notch. The 5 year guarantee is also good to have. I have the Vax carpet cleaner and ours did fail after not that long actually. They did replace the whole unit so I know the gurantee from Vax is worth the paper it’s written on.
If I’d paid the reported 250 full price I’d probably knock half a star off for the flimsy clip and slightly annoying cable placement. But for 140 it blows every other vacuum I’ve use in the recent past into the weeds.

4.5 – Good suction and great vacuuming power. Just a tad heavy and boxy to manoeuvre. This version doesn’t have the feature, but I’ve seen one where you can use it attached to the pole and push just the pipe (not as an upright, more like a Henry) and I think this would be much easier and useful. We aren’t used to an upright vacuum which may be why we are finding it difficult to push around.
