I’ve tried many vacuum cleaners, but this one stands out. From the moment I opened the box, I could see the quality and care that went into making it. Its design is well-built, easy to assemble, and super user-friendly, making it a high-end product.
What impressed me is how simple it is to use. The vacuum worked perfectly, making my daily cleaning routine so much smoother. It also arrived quickly and was packed well.
After using it, I can honestly say this vacuum lives up to its promises. The suction power is fantastic, and compared to my old vacuum, this one is much lighter. Moving around while cleaning is easy, and I don’t feel like dragging something heavy with me.

Have 3 cordless hoovers, but decided needed to go back to a corded hoover as so much more powerful and better pickup, especially living rurally and lots of pine trees in the garden, as always bringing these into the house and the cordless just doesn’t manage them very well. Love my Dyson and at the price point, couldn’t go wrong. Great suction, easy to empty, long cable and now my rugs have their pile back!

First of all, forget the idea that you are gonna receive a comprehensible set of instructions because that is a pipe dream. The very few paper instructions you get are vague and skip steps and the QR code to the main manual isn’t much better. I almost fell out with family over trying to build this hoover, and it was not fun in the least.
The quality of the hoover is strange, because the ball part feels quality but the rest of the hoses and plastics look and feel like cheap child toy material. It makes an odd balance to the machine, so it is very bottom heavy while the top feels weirdly light. It also makes the top half feel flimsy, like it might come apart at any second. The weight at the bottom also makes it feel like you have done a 60 minute work out and man my back hurts from lugging this around.
Ignoring the fact that it is a ten step process to access your hose while trying to vacuum, the suction itself seems powerful and I cant fault it. While it doesn’t pick up everything, it makes a pretty decent attempt and picks up a good amount of pet hair. It also fluffs your carpet nicely, which is a plus.
Overall, while the weight balance is off, instructions are unclear and some parts feel cheap, the suction itself is powerful and good with pet hair.

So, I’ve had an earlier model of the dyson animal ball about 10 years ago and loved it for the reason that most people don’t love it – its heavy! The combination of it’s weight and the awesome suction means it gets stuck on my carpets and is a real effort to move it . . . For me, this feels amazing as I know it’s sucking out everything it needs to which makes me so happy!
I’ve had 2 popular aternatives since (trying to get a cheaper option) but neither came close to the suction of the dyson. It’s worth the investment.
Regarding the weight, I’m a slight build & middle aged, and I do feel like I’ve done a bit if a work.out just hoovering my whole house, particularly lugging it up & down the stairs, but I can imagine that if you had any health issues with mobility or weakness such as arthritis, it may not be the right choice for you.
My other vacuum cleaners didnt ever seem to pick up any fine dust (just fluffy debris) but this one has a thick layer of powdery dust in the tank after every use, it’s really gets the fine stuff out of the carpets & rugs, which I think is great if you have allergies/asthma especially.
The cord is really long so I can even plug it in the hallway and hoover my upstairs, and the flexi pipe has a decent stretch too.
I notice that using the ‘hard floor setting’ on carpets rather than the ‘pile setting’ seems to make it adhere more to the carpet, making it harder to move but I assume sucks out more debris.
So, all in all, providing you are happy to wrestle with your vacuum a little (which I so am) then this is an awesome choice for peace of mind of knowing the carpets are free of nasties. Makes them look fresh & new too as it re-fluffs up the pile. I’ve discovered the joy of hoovering again.
