The lid is too stiff I didn’t it have this issue with the last one I had.

So disappointed as one of the letters fell off ( SMEG letters appear on the kettle) the blue paint started to peel off on the lid and started to leak onto the counter just after guarantee ran out. Paying the extra did not give me a quality kettle. Bought it for the looks which didn’t last.

Great kettle as expected from designer name sturdy but not too heavy not noisy looks great I have matching toaster microwave et high end price range but you get what you pay for , and l feel well worth the money for excellent well known name

Really thought hard about buying this kettle as it was really expensive. What was I worried about? It is beautiful and the blue colour is so delicate! Boils quickly, and looks great. Added bonus – the cable winds easily round the underneath of the base and exits wherever you require.

Love the SMEG range, this kettle is chunky and the rotational stand makes it easier to place on worktops and safer to lift etc. One negative…I find it hard to view the fill level as it is under the handle. Otherwise I’d give 5. (No idea what ‘warmth, and ‘sheerness’ relate to in star categories BTW)

Expensive for a kettle, yes, but it doesn,t drip from the spout, it’s quiet. it’s quick, and the pastel blue just look’s so so nice. It ooze’s quality.
