Bought after my old fridge died after 25 yrs. the delivery was poor and fridge arrived with 2 scratches on. Not done by delivery men If it wasn’t for the fact we had been without a fridge for 6 days already I would have returned it. Luckily it isn’t bad and compensation was offered. The fridge is so quiet we don’t hear it at all. Large and roomy it accommodates all our needs. Not the most economical but does what we need it to

Won’t be reordering! It was a good looking fridge and seemed OK at first. But door reversal let it down badly. The sump at the back was full of condensed water and as sump was glued to top of compressor, return crew had to turn it on it’s back to empty it! Fridge would probably be v good if not for the reversal failure.

I would not recommend buying this fridge unless you have a 5cm gap to adjacent kitchen cabinets, 10cm between it and heat sources or freezers and 30cm gap above. Rather key information to have before purchasing the appliance! However, there is no mention of this in the point-of-sale information regarding this important requirement.
After 14 months this fridge would not keep to the required temperature and upon contacting Russell Hobbs customer service, I was told that my warranty was void because it did not have sufficient room around the appliance even though it sits in a space the width of which is governed by a standard high level overhead kitchen cupboard! Unbelievably, Russell Hobbs customer service told me that this was my fault for not reading the manual before purchasing the appliance! Then when I said “but its in the delivery box” I was told I should have looked online!
I previously had a 55cm LEC fridge in this position for 20 years without issue. Apparently, this Chinese manufactured product, has a “closed back” requiring additional ventilation. In the product description it states “The 55cm fridge is designed to slot seamlessly into your home.” Well, no, it doesn’t, it’s questionable as to whether its suitable for use in many UK Kitchens.
The fridge was delivered, unpacked and installed for me by Amazon and the old fridge removed, no mention was made whatsoever of any issue with the space in our kitchen.

To put it mildly, I’m very disappointed, very poor customer sales information and terrible customer service. Buyers beware!

Just the right size for us, nice quality finish inside and out, keeps everything nice and cold as it should even on low settings, bit of a pain swapping the door opening to suit our needs but other than that it’s really good and not a bad price too.
