The device works reasonably well. You definitely notice the difference after it’s been out doing it’s thing. I t obviously isn’t a replacement for hard work but you don’t have to do it as often. The app is just ok not brilliant, you will end up playing in the app as it’s not simple. I would recommend so far it’s been a month. One issue so we remapped and solved.

after 10 days of ownership (4 full cleans with mopping) this little guy is awesome. Never owned one before so it was new to me. I did the research and this appeared to be the best for the price point at the time. The packaging makes this feel like a quality product. So first impressions all good. It was easy to set up, took me about 30 mins (i like to take my time) including the app. I followed the instructions on how to map the house – did both floors in less than 20 mins and creates an impressive, very accurate layout view map of each floor. Then you just press the ‘start cleaning’ button and away it goes. I watched it clean the first couple of times just to make sure it didnt get snagged anywhere – then watched it the last two times just cos im obsessed with it now! I wasnt sure how well it would mop the main tiled kitchen and hallway floors as these take me about an hpur to do and dry by hand. It does a fantastic job. I set it to hoover first and then go back around and mop. It knows to leave the living room out of the mop sequence as this is carpeted. If it continues to perform as it has in the first 10 days than i will be more than impressed. So glad we bought it.

I’ve been using the Dreame L40 Ultra AE for a few day’s now and I’m genuinely impressed with it. The suction power is great strong and it picks up dust, crumbs, and pet hair without any issues. The mopping function is surprisingly good too, it actually leaves the floors looking freshly cleaned rather than just wiped over. I also love how hands-off it is, the dock empties the dust, washes the mop, and dries it automatically which saves a lot of time. Navigation around the house is really smart and it rarely gets stuck. Overall it’s made keeping the house clean much easier and I’d definitely recommend it.

Soooo, I’ve done a lot of research before commiting to a specific brand and model. Based on my research Dreame L40 ultra AE was the perfect model for our household needs. We have a fluffy Pomeranian and a 3 year old. I am a clean freak so typically I would grab my Dyson sometimes even x5 a day! I always felt bad after cooking my kid just waits for me while I’m hoovering and mopping, when I could just leave those few water drops and couple crumbs and just play with her!
So I’ve finally decided that I do need a robot hoover, a good one, that would have a great suction, great mopping capabilities and especially good navigation (toys, shoes, cords etc). I didn’t want to spend £700-£1000, and after comparing all the features in different models, this was ticking every single box!
After I’ve received it, it did not disappoint! It has great functions, I can adjust which zone when and how I want it to be cleaned! And it does a really amazing job! Now after cooking and washing the dishes I just pick a zone where I need cleaning and BOOM – Done! Been using it only for 3 days BUT I already see a huge difference in floor cleanliness and time saving that it provides!
It also seems super sturdy and high quality!
I definitely think this is probably the best value for money robot out there!

VACUUMING – 10/10
It easily picks up everyday dirt and handles larger debris such as popcorn or dog food without any problems. The vacuuming function is slightly loud, but in my opinion this is a normal working sound for a powerful device.
MOPPING – 10/10
It cleans floors extremely well. The adjustable water flow is a fantastic feature – you can choose which rooms require more water for mopping. The intelligent automatic cleaning mode adapts the cleaning cycle to the level of dirt and the type of floor. The vacuuming + mopping mode is very quiet and does not disturb rest or relaxation. It leaves no streaks, cleans the mops automatically during and after cleaning, and always uses clean pads while mopping.
OBSTACLES – 10/10
It handles obstacles perfectly, easily moving under chairs and tables. It is pet-friendly – when it detects a pet, it avoids it, and if a pet comes closer, the robot turns around and later returns to clean the areas it skipped.
Overall, it’s an excellent device. The floors are spotless, and it is absolutely worth the money. The additional features such as self-cleaning, the camera, and the ability to customize its operation to your needs are amazing.
